OUR AIM
To quote Simone CHAUVIN DAROUX breeder of LA NERTO, former chairperson of the Tibetan Dogs Club of France in her book "The Tibetan Dog", "The Lhasa Apso must not become just a long haired dog with no biological relation with its origins". Our aim is to preserve, with the inheritance we have been left, the type of dog nearest to its morphological origins.

With the aim of guaranteeing the traceability of our pedigrees, our reproducers and lists are genetically identifiable which ensures the quality. |
OUR WORK At our kennels LES CYRES DE GELUKPA, we arrange marriages with our own sires. In order to obtain the type of dog corresponding to our objectives we work on the genealogical trees and use our experience as we know all the pedigrees. All our dogs come from the SAN MARINO/VON TRI-SONG/SAXON SPRINGS/SAN JO and ANNAPURNA/LA NERTO lineage. The selected dogs are rated minimum 3/6 (recommended), 4/6 (excellent).

THE OBJECT OF OUR WORK
It is to work on hold lineages of Lhasa Apso, with the aim of the prèservation of the species(bio variety) and authentic lineages. We claim to work on the dogs of pure race.
The term "biodiversity" comes from the contraction of the English expression " biological diversity ", that is the " biological variety ".
The biodiversity it is the " variability of the alive bodies of any origin including, among others, the ground, marine ecosystems and the other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are a member: it includes the variety within the species and between species as well as that of the ecosystems. " (Article 2 of the Convention on Biological Diversity, adopted on May 22nd, 1992 and opened to the signature of States during the Conference of Rio on June 5th, 1992, come into effect on December 29th, 1993) The biodiversity, that's life! |
OUR PASSION We became dog-breeders when we fell in love at first sight with a ball of fluff looking like POLLUX from the Enchanted Roundabout, he looked so friendly and sweet and we immediately fell for him and have been passionately fond of this race ever since.

20 kms from Avignon and Orange, 15 km from Bagnols sur Cèze in the Gard, Saint Victor la Coste, our village, is situated on the edge of the historic boundaries of the Languedoc region, in the foothills of the Nime garrigues.
The Cyres de Gelukpa Kennels are situated just next to the Chapel of Mayran (hermitage dating from the beginning of the XII century. |

The lhasa in the garden where the peace of the Gelukpa reigns, and where, perhaps, the ghosts of the monks float, reincarnated in "animated subjects", which are the dogs, the lhassas the presence or KUNDUN.
A special "thank you" is extended to His Holiness the Dalai Lama in accepted to entrust the first Lhasa Apso.
The monastic order of Gelukpa, reformed school of the "yellow bonnets", was the origin of fourteen reincarnations of the Dalai-lama. This is why we have chosen the name GELUKPA for our kennels. |
